Wow. I had so many thoughts running around in my head and now I feel stuck for words.
Firstly, welcome. I'm happy you're here and maybe you're a little curious about what I might write about.
At this point, I'm not sure what this will become but I invite you on a journey to find out with me.
So I'll start at the very beginning.
My name is Liz. I live on the Sunshine Coast in Queensland, Australia.
Early last year, my partner Rob and I talked about setting up a business together. What would/could we do? We tossed ideas around for a long time. Finally we decided to start a business that would be complementary to Rob's existing business in structured data cabling (a business that has been up and running for nearly 10 years).
And that is how Click Access was born. A local business providing phone and internet services.
At the time, I was employed in a couple of administration/accounts roles. So I made the tough decision to leave those roles and jump into the deep end of unfamiliar territory.
What were we thinking, I hear you ask? Don't worry, I've asked myself that question a few times too.
So much to do. Where do we start?
Our to do list started big and just kept on growing.
* Register the company. Register a business name.
* Produce our business plan.
* Organise company insurance and a business bank account.
* Source wholesale product suppliers and get onboarded.
* Source a billing system provider.
* Design our website. Get online, plus set up email addresses and hosting.
* Produce all the necessary legal stuff, such as our privacy and fair use policies.
It was exhausting and time consuming, and now I look at that list and wonder how we did it all. But here we are, finally up and running.
* Has the work load slowed? No
* Is it easy? No
* Knowing what I know now, would I do it all over again? Absolutely! I love what we have created, and I'm very proud of our company mission and purpose.
So, what's our mission?
Have you ever called a service provider company and felt frustrated or angry at the lack of decent service? I know we have.
So it was relatively easy to define our mission.
We like to do things a little differently.
Our aim is to provide outstanding customer service to exceed your expectations.
We do what we say we will do.
We practice open and honest communication.
We focus on impact and deliver value.
We appreciate our customers and we say thank you.
So there you have it. That's a snippet of who we are.
Our blog will grow. It's still very young.
We'll provide some interesting and informative articles, plus keep you updated on all our news.
